Self-catering holidays in Poland in Autumn
| Poland in Autumn Some parts of Poland look best dressed in the reds and golds of autumn. The mixed woodland of Poland displays all shades of autumn from pale golds through to rich reds and browns. Birches show up gold, sycamores and oaks turn a glorious red. The photograph on the left, taken at the end of October, shows Dunajec Castle on Lake Czorsztyn in southern Poland. The weather can still be very pleasant at this time of year, excellent for walking. The Pieninski National Park lies to the south east end of Lake Czorsztyn. There are 2 other national parks within half an hour's drive of the self-catering accommodation in Rabka-Zdroj, convenient for all three national parks, plus numerous walks around Rabka-Zdroj itself. | The Dam and visitor centre Popular all year round, people flock to visit the dam and visitor centre, climb the couple of hundred steps to the top and admire the views of the Dunajec Castle reflected in the lake, the plentiful trout and the beautiful scenery. The dam and Dunajec Castle perched on the hillside behind it.
