Self-catering holidays in Rabka-Zdroj in Autumn
| Rabka-Zdroj in Autumn Autumn suits Rabka-Zdroj, the colours are simply magnificent. There are plenty of trees throughout the town and of course in the central park. The fallen leaves present a colourful carpet to walk through. It's a great time of year for walkers, cool and comfortable, although the nights are now drawing in earlier. Walks of various distances are displayed on a board in the centre of the park. All lead up into the hills around the town. The hills of the Babio Gorski National Park to the west of the town are clearly visible. The statue of Pope John Paul II in the park gathers a collection of warmly glowing candles. All Saints or All Hallows is celebrated on the 1st of November when families remember those now passed on with similar candles and flowers. There is a street in just about every town in Poland named after Pope John Paul II. |
The river walks in Rabka There are walks beside the river and streams in Rabka. Various bridges cross the rivers. There are old basic open swimming pools cut into the rivers at points that are no longer used. At intervals, one comes across strange and unusual objects like this carved wooden man guarding a picnic and play area.
| Autumn in the Park The park continues to be well-used in the autumn. People still walk, cycle, meet to chat and sit on the benches. The red squirrels are much harder to spot now. |
