Walking to the top of Maciejowa hill (behind the house) is a popular walk for all abilities. Paths from Maciejowa lead to a variety of hills of heights ranging from 835 to 1276 metres, with distances of 500m, 2 km, 5.5 km to nearby hills, up to 13km to Lubon Wielki and 24 km to Ciecien.

Poland is a superb destination for walking holidays. Not only are there numerous national parks with trails for all abilities but the countryside is open and unspoiled with many walks over open unfenced land and in country lanes.

There are fantastic views to enjoy combined with a step back in time. Farmers still use horses to plough the land and collect in the hay, entire families help with the harvest and the assembling the stooks of hay by hand.
