Amusing moments on holidays in Poland

This beggar has a sign that reads 'zbieram na piwo' or in English 'collecting for beer'. Only in Poland have we found various inventive and often amusing means of begging.

Another Polish beggar in Zakopane:

This dog's board states: 'collecting for a sausage or two'

Naked men running around the main square in Cracow

The Brits are providing evening entertainment in the main square or Rynek in Cracow when they strip the 'groom to be' on Stag weekends and make him run round the square naked. After 10 pm. if you want to see Brits making chumps of themselves.

If you're in Cracow you may wish to take a look at our personally recommended good food restaurants.

Police cars

Police cars are funny in Poland. It's wonder they go, let alone catch criminals. Just over the border into Poland at Zgorzelec is a 'cardboard cut out' of a police car as a speeding warning. Perhaps due to a shortage of real cars?

Polish gnomes

Whilst driving, you may pass Polish businesses selling garden gnomes, wooden windmills and ornaments. There are some very cheeky gnomes performing questionable activities which seem to appeal to the German sense of humour.
